Tapawingo Means - A Place Of Joy!

Why Tap?

Tapawingo campers gather outside
Tapawingo and the unique values of Maine, lives in and through each camper, teaching her to be her authentic self, to be authentically “ME!”

Our intimate camp community fosters connections and deep relationships. We cheer each other on, we hold one another accountable to our philosophy and culture, we tap into shared experiences and celebrate our differences.

“Since I was eight, Tapawingo has taught me that I have value and that I am worthy, that I, as a woman, can speak up and I have a voice. I know I deserve everything a man deserves and I can achieve great things. Young girls growing up face issues at home and then get to come to Tap where they’re told they have value and are worthy, they are cared for and loved, and they know they can do great things. I truly thank Tap for the amazing, nurturing home it’s been to me. ”
