SONG OF THIS TATTLER

A Quiet Winter’s Day

CT Blue ’06
http://tapsongbook.weebly.com/a-quiet-winters-day.html

A quiet winter’s day, snow falls on the silent world
Dark clouds loom above her, she leans
against her window pane
She closes her eyes tightly, colors of Tap
come into mind
Striving for recollection, laughter and songs slowly intertwine

Chorus:
And it keeps her warm through winter, cold winter days (cold winter days, warmed by her memories)
The memory of that summer’s sun, she
reflects on friendships made
Days and weeks she never thought would
fade
It takes her back to her younger days, songs
she knew they echo through
(echo through)

She pictures herself there, under a sky of
gray and blue
Feels the warmth of summer, surrounded by
the friends she knew
The hills heard all her secrets, sitting there
she feels at ease
The warm days flew so quickly, in her mind
in summer’s breeze

Chorus.
They will always echo through
